Pistons should win or lose the right way...

"Ball Don't Lie!" Should the Detroit Pistons reach the conference finals for a sixth straight time this year, they will have been the first team to do so since Magic Johnson's Showtime Lakers.

The fact is no team since then has been consistently this good in the playoffs year in and year out for this long. 5 trips to the conference finals, 2 conference championships and 1 NBA championship. Not bad. Many teams would love to say they have accomplished so much these past five seasons, but this team still is viewed as underachievers, and with good reason. This team has been notorious for sleepwalking through certain series, often falling behind to lesser teams, with it's back against the wall. There are times when they just don't play desperate anymore.

If this team bows out of the 2008 playoffs simply because it let another lesser team out hustle them it will be highly disappointing. If the Pistons do lose let it be because despite scrapping for every rebound and playing hard and smart, they lost to a better team.

This team will be good for a long time, but right now the veterans are setting an example for future stars like Rodney Stuckey, Arron Afflalo and Amir Johnson.

That example should be that win or lose, they should always play the right way...
